Notifications: what we notify and how

CBCTHub notifies you when important things happen on your account — but only about the events you choose to receive. Everything is set up from Settings › Notifications.

Notification types

The referrer opens the exam

When an exam you shared is opened for the first time, you get a notice. It confirms that the link worked and the referrer received it. If you have the mobile app, it also arrives as a push.

New message on an exam

When a referrer or a teammate leaves a comment on an exam you are involved in, you get a notification. You can reply directly from the email (by clicking the link) or from the viewer.

Team activity (Clinic plan)

If your plan is Clinic with multiple members, you can opt in to receive notice when someone on the team uploads an exam, shares one, or signs a report. Useful if you are the Owner and want an overview without diving in every day.

Channels

Each notification can reach you through two channels:

  • In-app bell: the icon at the top right of the dashboard. Click it to see recent notifications.
  • Email: in your inbox, with a descriptive subject and a direct link to the exam.
  • Push (mobile app only): native notification on your phone.
NotaEach notification type has an independent toggle: you can have “New message” active by email and push, but “Referrer opened exam” only in the bell. It is granular.

How to configure

  1. 1
Go to Settings › Notifications (the last tab in Settings).
  2. 2
You will see a list of each notification type with toggles for each channel (email, in-app, push if you have the app).
  3. 3
Turn each one on or off as you prefer. Changes are saved automatically.
CasoRecommended setup for a small center

Email ON: New message (to reply quickly to the referrer).

Bell ON: Everything else (referrer opens, messages, team activity).

Push (mobile) ON: Only New message. That way your phone does not buzz every time a referrer opens a link, only when someone writes something.
