Patient's informed consent

The informed consent is a document where the patient authorizes the CBCT exam and declares they understand the risks (mainly radiation dose). CBCTHub lets you generate, send and sign the consent 100% digital.

Generate and send the consent

   On the exam row, look for the consent chip. If it says “Add consent”, there is none yet. Click there.

   A modal opens with three options:

   • Send by email: CBCTHub sends a link to the patient so they sign from their phone or computer.
   • Generate PDF: downloads the PDF with patient data so they sign on paper (later manual scan).
   • Mark as signed in person: if the patient already signed in person, records that state.

   Choose the option according to your center's flow.

The patient signs from their device

When you send by email, the patient receives a message with a link to a page cbcthub.com/c/<token>. There:

• Reads the full document in their language.
• Signs with finger (on mobile) or mouse (on desktop).
• Confirms their name and data.
• Receives a copy of the signed PDF by email.

In CBCTHub the signature is recorded with date, time, IP, and the signed PDF is associated to the exam automatically.

Consent states

• No consent: the process has not started.
• Pending signature: sent by email, the patient has not yet signed.
• Signed: the patient signed digitally or in person. The PDF is available.
• Cancelled: the send was cancelled or expired.
