CBCTHub works with any scanner that exports standard DICOM files. This covers nearly every dental CBCT scanner on the market.

NotaIf your scanner isn't on the list but exports DICOM, it'll work too. CBCTHub doesn't require drivers or intermediate software.

How to export DICOM

Most scanners export DICOM by default. If yours exports to a proprietary format, look in the scanner software for “Export to DICOM” or “DICOM Export”. Tips:

  • Export the full series, not individual slices.
  • Keep the original resolution — don't compress to JPEG.
  • Preserve the patient metadata (name, date of birth, study date).
  • Export to a dedicated folder; don't mix series from different patients.
CasoScanner doesn't export DICOM

Some older scanners only export proprietary files (.i-CAT, .ct, etc.). In that case:

1. Check the scanner manual for a hidden DICOM export option.

2. Contact the manufacturer — often it's an optional module that can be enabled.

3. As a last resort, use conversion software like Anatomage Invivo or BlueSkyBio to open the proprietary format and re-export as DICOM.
