Compatible browsers
CBCTHub runs on modern browsers with WebAssembly and WebGL 2.0 support. That covers practically any browser updated in the last 4 years.
Recommended browsers

TipWhich to use? For professional use, we recommend Chrome or Edge — they're the most efficient with WebAssembly and allow loading larger volumes with fewer memory limits. Safari is fine for casual use.
Required technical features
If your browser doesn't support one of these, CBCTHub warns you on load:
- WebAssembly (Wasm): to process the DICOM in the browser. Universal since 2017.
- WebGL 2.0: for 3D View and the spherical eraser. Universal since 2018.
- IndexedDB: to cache the 3D model between sessions.
- File API + Drag & Drop: to drag folders into the uploader.
- Service Workers: for offline PWA (optional).
How do I check my version?
Each browser has an “About” menu:
- Chrome: ⋮ menu → Help → About Google Chrome.
- Edge: ⋯ menu → Help and feedback → About Microsoft Edge.
- Safari: Safari menu → About Safari.
- Firefox: ☰ menu → Help → About Firefox.
ImportanteBrowsers auto-update on most systems. If your computer has auto-updates disabled, update manually every 1–2 months — updates bring important security fixes for medical data.
Incognito / private mode
CBCTHub works in incognito mode, with two limitations:
- The 3D model isn't cached — next time you open an exam it takes as long as the first time.
- The session expires when you close the window — you'll need to sign in again.
