Share an exam with a referrer

Sharing is what the center uses most: each exam has its own link, and that link is the only thing the referrer (or patient) needs to open the viewer on any device.

Three ways to share

Clicking Share opens a modal with three tabs:

Direct link

A unique link to the exam you can paste anywhere: WhatsApp, personal email, SMS. Click Copy and done.

TipEach exam has its own unique link; it doesn't expire unless you set an expiration date or delete it. And if the exam has a PIN enabled, the link requires that PIN before showing anything.
Send by email

    Pick the referrer from your address book. If not on the list, you can add them from the same modal or write a one-off email.

    Optional: check Attach report if you already have the PDF ready in CBCTHub.

    Customize the message if you want (subject and body come pre-filled with patient data).

    Click Send. CBCTHub sends the email from the center's domain, with your logo and signature if configured in Settings.

NotaThe email reaches the referrer with the exam link + the attached PDF if you checked it. When they open it, CBCTHub records the event and you get a notification.
Embed (iframe)

HTML code to embed the viewer inside another website — useful if your center has its own page or you want to show the exam to the patient from your internal portal.

NotaThe embed shows the exam anonymized by default (patient name hidden). You can change this if you want the name visible.
CasoPIN: protecting a sensitive exam

Each exam has a 4-digit PIN that CBCTHub generates automatically. The link is public but requires that PIN before showing content.

1. In the share modal, copy the PIN shown next to the link.

2. Send the link through one channel (email, WhatsApp).

3. Send the PIN through a different channel (separate message, call, another app). That way if someone intercepts one, they don't have both.

CasoCenter's public page

If you enable the Center public page in Settings, your URL becomes cbcthub.com/centro/<your-slug> with your branding.

The patient enters that page, types the PIN of the exam they received, and opens their study directly. Useful when the center has on-site service: post a sign with the URL + give the patient the PIN.

Attaching the report later

If you shared the exam without a report and finish it later, no need to re-share. Edit the report from the viewer, export it, and the PDF is automatically associated with the same link — the referrer sees it next time they enter.

Common issues

“Email not received”. Check the referrer's email is spelled correctly (spaces, accents, invisible characters). Ask them to check Spam. Meanwhile share the direct link via WhatsApp.

“It asks the referrer for a PIN”. If the referrer is a regular professional, you can disable the PIN for that specific exam or configure your center so exams aren't created with mandatory PINs.

“The referrer doesn't see the report”. Verify in the share modal that the report toggle is ON. If you uploaded it later, refresh the page before testing from the link.
