Radiology report: write, sign and export

The radiology report is the clinical conclusion that accompanies the exam. CBCTHub has an editor integrated into the viewer: you write, electronically sign and export a professional PDF with your center's branding.

NotaThe report is optional. You can share the viewer without a report (the referrer still sees the study and can take their own measurements), but most professional workflows include the signed report.

Open the report editor

  1. 1
In the viewer, open the Report panel (document icon on the right sidebar).
  2. 2
You will see the fields: Title (editable), Findings and Conclusion. The default title is “Radiology Report”, but you can change it from Settings › Radiology Report to apply to all your reports.
  3. 3
Write the findings and conclusion. Changes save automatically.

Electronic signature

CBCTHub lets you electronically sign the report. This gives it legal validity and traceability: every signed PDF carries a verification QR that anyone can scan to confirm authenticity.

  1. 1
When the report is ready, click Sign and export.
  2. 2
CBCTHub records the signature (date, time, IP, content hash) and generates the final PDF with:
    • Your custom title.
    • The center logo (if you uploaded it in Settings).
    • The findings and conclusion block.
    • Your scanned handwritten signature (if uploaded) plus the electronic signature block with QR.
    • The custom footer (if configured).
  3. 3
The PDF stays associated with the exam automatically. Anyone with the exam link can download it (if you allowed it when sharing).
NotaThe electronic signature does not replace a digital signature certified by a PKI authority. For medical-legal use in some countries you might also need a digital signature — write to us and we will guide you per your jurisdiction.

Public report verification

When someone scans the QR on the signed PDF, they reach a public page cbcthub.com/v/<id> that shows:

  • That the report was signed by your center (signer's name).
  • Exact date and time of signing.
  • Content hash — if anyone modifies the PDF, the hash no longer matches and the system detects it.
TipIdeal for skeptical referrers: they see the QR, scan it and confirm the report is authentic and unaltered.

Customize the report

From Settings › Radiology Report you can configure:

  • Default title — appears as the PDF heading.
  • Footer — custom text (address, tax ID, web, phone).
  • Center logo — embedded at the top of every report.
NotaThe scanned handwritten signature is also uploaded from Settings › Radiology Report. It works as a visual reference; the legal signature component comes from the electronic block with QR.
CasoRecommended daily reporting workflow

1. Upload the exam. Open the viewer.

2. Review the volume, take relevant measurements, mark what matters with arrows/circles.

3. Open the Report panel. Write findings and conclusion.

4. Click Sign and export. The PDF is generated.

5. Go back to My exams, click Share, check Attach report, send to the referrer.

ImportanteOnce signed, the report cannot be modified without invalidating the signature. If you need to correct it, you must sign again — the new version replaces the previous one, but the old signature remains recorded in the audit log.
