No. There are three ways to have them upload on their own: a free program installed on the cone beam PC, the scanner sending them over the clinic network, or connecting your own system through the API. In all three, the exam shows up in your account with nobody exporting anything.

A free Windows program installed on the cone beam PC. It watches the folder where the scanner stores its images and uploads each new exam. It connects to your account with a code and then runs on its own. It only reads: it never moves or deletes files on the scanner.

Yes. Carestream, Sirona, Dexis, Morita, NewTom, Vatech, Planmeca and any other, because every scanner stores its DICOM files in a folder on the PC. Several brands can also send them over the network, which is even more direct.

For the simplest setup, no: it installs without an administrator password and you only point it at the folder where the scanner stores its images. If you prefer the scanner to send over the network, it is best configured by whoever installed the cone beam.

No. The name and date of birth are already inside the DICOM file, written by the scanner at acquisition. The exam arrives in CBCTHub with that data already filled in.

The exam waits on the PC and is retried on its own once the connection is back. Nothing is lost and the scan does not need to be repeated.

It is not duplicated. Each exam carries an identifier assigned by the scanner at acquisition; if a repeat arrives, CBCTHub recognizes it and it does not take up space or quota again.

Yes, through the API. Your system uploads the exam and receives the 3D viewer link under your center's branding. It is the option for practices with in-house software or for anyone embedding CBCTHub in another platform.

Yes. DICOM processing is 100% in-browser, so reconstruction never runs on our servers. Anything stored in the cloud uses AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.2+ in transit, with access control and audit logging.

Cloudflare R2 with AES-256 encryption. The database runs on Supabase with encrypted connections. Both services meet international security standards.

CBCTHub runs on HIPAA-compliant infrastructure with encryption, audit logs, and access controls. Contact us to set up a business associate agreement (BAA).

No. Your DICOM files are used for visualization and storage, period. We never use them for AI training, analytics, or any commercial purpose. It's written into our privacy policy.

All data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Encrypted backups are purged within another 30 days. This action can't be undone.

Yes. Shared links are temporary and expire automatically. Recipients can only view — they can't download, modify, or reshare. You stay in control.

Three plans: Free (3 studies, 1 GB), Pro (unlimited studies, 100 GB), and Max (unlimited studies, 1 TB, advanced features). Every plan includes study sharing.

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade any time from your dashboard. The change takes effect immediately and is prorated on your next bill.

Your studies aren't deleted. Studies over the new plan's limit become inaccessible until you delete some or upgrade again. You can always reactivate access.
